We are Still Here

Mom is home and doing better, we think. They obviously thought she was better to let her go home. She is still taking a lot of medicine. She isn't feeling so hot tonight but we are just gonna keep a close eye on her. If she isn't feeling better in the morning, we will pack her back up and take her on back to the doctor.
Thank you so much for your prayers. I can't tell you how much they mean to me. I don't know how to describe the incredible feeling of having wonderful caring friends you've never even met. Thank you.
I'm so tired, I could cry. Have you ever been there? Everyone has at one time or another. I'm there and it isn't getting any better yet. I'm was a one woman show at work today and will be again tomorrow. I've actually got a neurology appointment tomorrow, too. I'm looking forward to catching up on some rest this weekend. My rheumatologist called today and said in light of the Swine Flu diagnosis in Collierville today, they were calling all of their immunosuppressed patients and urging us to stay at home as much as possible. That's so hard. Especially, when you are actually feeling good. I've been back to the gym this week and am on a serious diet. I've got BEFORE pictures and all I can say is THANK GOODNESS that's what they are. HA!
Well, now I have cried. That damn Gray's Anatomy has gotten to me two weeks in a row. I just don't know about Izzy being sick.
I must go to bed. I'll catch up with all of my pictures this weekend since I'm home bound.
Peace,
Kacy

The Race!

Please say some extra prayers for my Mom tonight, please. She has a terrible staph infection and spent the night in the hospital. It is in her neck and causing a LOT of issues.

I'm exhausted and I have a lot to tell.

That's ALL I have to say right now.

Peace!

My husband has defiled (is that a word) my new TiVo. I turned the television on this afternoon and was horrified to see a recording called Areola 51. I immediately picked up the phone and called to ask if he had the nerve to record something like that. I had to make sure my son had not done it. YEP, it was my husband. Are you kidding me? You are how old? Needless to say, he was none too happy with me for deleting it. Then he made the BIG mistake. He told me he "heard" it was funny and someone we will call "a friend" told him needed to watch it. Are we into peer pressure now? Do we do things because our friends tell us to? Guess who will be calling DirecTV tomorrow to cancel all of the movie channels that they gave us to try to keep my business when they wouldn't fix my TiVo? It's ashamed I have to ground my husband.

Missy, I'm sorry. Jeff was in trouble today so he couldn't come out to play. I didn't get your picture of him in Myrtle. I will do that for you if he can behave himself in the next few days. He and my brother, Bradley, have been working on their project in my kitchen again tonight.

I think Bradley is going to Talledega with us this weekend. He went last year, too. I can't wait. Knucklehead is spending the night with us tonight. He's sitting here shootin the mess with Jeff as I type. He cracks me up. He works down here in Olive Branch and he came down to work on this stuff with Jeff tonight so he is just staying and going to work in the morning.

I went to the orthodontist this morning and my teeth are killing me. Then, I checked the kids out of school and took them to the dentist. They both got their teeth cleaned. Dalton has a "soft spot" that the dentist wants to seal so he has to go back in a couple of weeks to have that done. Savannah Grace got a clean bill of health. She was proud of that. She has been killing me the last few days. She daydreams about being Miley Cyrus. She listens to and sings "The Climb" 24/7 and when I say she sings it, I mean she FEELS it.

I got everybody scheduled for everything today. Stella is having her teeth cleaned Wednesday. I'm getting my hair cut Monday. Dalton is getting his cut next Tuesday and both of the children are going to the eye doctor next Tuesday. I made wise use of my time today. HA, I never made it to work. I have to go tomorrow. I have a conference call. BLAH BLAH BLAH! Tosha and I have to go to Tupelo Thursday for continuing education. Fun Fun! It's actually not bad. I go spend a day at the Tupelo Country Club every year and get my certificate.

Izzy is begging me to go to bed now and I'm sure these boys are wanting to talk with out the ole ball and chain/big sister around.

Peace Out,

Kacy

RECAP

I don't know about this blogging once a week thing. I thought it might be good and help with my time constraints but I really miss much of what I started this blog for and that was to journal the day to day things that go on around this place I lovingly call home. We would be BIG STARS if we had our own show. It's good thing I don't want to be a big star.

My allergies reared their ugly head this week and by Thursday and Friday, I was just down right sick. I took Friday off work and got some much needed rest. That seemed to help.
Thursday when I got home, I noticed my Clematis was blooming! It is even more beautiful today than it was then, but I didn't think to get more pictures.
That's the one I actually planted last summer. I'm hoping it will finally get big enough to shield those air units from the street. Look at all of those amazing blooms. Some of them opened up today. I noticed them this afternoon. They are beautiful. I love the color.

I bought this one off a clearance rack at Lowe's last summer and never got around to planting it. We had our flower beds bricked in the back yard around the pool at the end of the summer and then never planted anything. Needless to say, I have my work cut out for me but it RAINS every weekend. I'm going to put this one out back and let it climb on the fence.
I can't believe how well it has done considering it has had NO LOVE.

It rained so hard this afternoon and then we had a beautiful HUGE rainbow over the golf course.

I must confess, I did a very bad thing this weekend. I introduced Savannah to the Third Street Flea Market. I've been crafting and beading and such every weekend lately and this weekend, I just needed to do some shopping. We went a little overboard but she loved it. For those of you who have never been to "Third" all I can say is you MUST go. It's scary and all to get there but once you do, it is awesome. If you see something you want, take PopE a picture and he'll have it for you next week. I don't ask questions, I just bargain. Whatever price they tell you, offer $5 less and it's yours and if you really want it, keep going. I've gotten some of them down to half price, but you can usually only do that on Sundays! It's a blast. Here are a few things we picked up.

We picked Jeff up a pair of RayBans. He was really freaking me out driving around town in Myrtle and wearing my Katie Holmes huge shades. It's enough to see his big self in that little car with his big head sticking out the top, but when he had on my sunglasses doing it......it was time for him to have his own. Sometimes I wonder who weighs more.....him or Myrtle?

Here were a few things I picked up for myself...
I've been a Coach girl for the last 5 or 6 years so those last two are a stretch for me. I really liked the Jimmy Choo, though. We'll see if I really carry it.
LOVE my duffel bag! My brother who was over Saturday night making something entirely too strange and destroying my kitchen....
...said it would be taking things a little too extreme to use it as my gym bag. Jeff said it would make it smell. I explained to him ,that is not how things work. I wear the stinky clothes home. ANYWAY, I don't think they can tell me what to do.

I AM, however, going back to the gym. My bag is packed tonight for my return on tomorrow. I haven't been in two weeks. It's time for the Bitch and I to get reacquainted. This new body of mine is just NASTY and I don't mean nasty in the good way.

Ok, back on track....Savannah would be angry if I didn't share her wares. Here are some of her picks. She has an eye for the bolder more colorful items.
Why, YES, those are turquoise Coach sunglasses which she wore all day today in the rain!
She also loves the fact that she is now the proud owner of a Dolce and Gabana purse and that Fergie sings about it on My Humps. As a mother, that scares me, but for now, I'm just gonna roll with it. I have to pick my battles with her.

We still had some time for a little crafting this weekend. I blinged out some flip flops we found at Hobby Lobby. They turned out cute.
Savannah is totally into peace signs lately, so I did this little tank for her this weekend, too. It turned out cute and I enjoy doing these.

I used my new sewing machine tonight (which Jeff thought was hilarious) and put together a little bandanna dress for my niece Mal Mal. (Thanks for the cute idea Jessi.)
That's not the most flattering picture of the final product, but to be honest, I was too tired for much of a production.

I was feeling like I didn't get much done this weekend until now. I just realized, I've done all of this and still had time to pluck my eyebrows, clean the toilets, vacuum and clean all the windows in the doors around here. Not bad.

Age has reared it's ugly head this past week, too. Today, I found myself shopping for fade cream for age spots. If you know of some good stuff, let me know. Ashley, I'm still waiting to hear from you on this topic. I also got so tickled one day at work with Tosha this week that I tinkled my pants. Well, luckily I had on one of those long tshirt maxi dresses and a slip so it was pretty well disguised and thank goodness I had my gym bag in the car with a pair of pants in it. I had to change clothes. I hear bladder control leaves with age. I guess mine is slipping. Just another joyous thing to look forward to. Do they make Depends with fun characters on them? If you have to start wearing them at 35, they could at least have pictures of Brad Pitt on them or something. Maybe that's not so great either. I'd hate to pee on his head. Hummm, that whole idea opens a can of worms. I'm gonna leave that alone.

We have another busy week, but I'm gonna try to keep updated instead of saving it up for the weekend. Heck, by the time the weekend gets here, I've forgotten half of what happened during the week. We have orthodontist trips and dentist trips tomorrow. I'll be in Tupelo all day Thursday and Jeffrey and I are heading out to Talladega on Saturday! I can't wait.
Have a great one. Say your prayers.

Peace,

Kacy

Merry Easter

We have had a wonderful Easter Weekend! I hope yours has been the same.

I decided to make a new tradition. This past week, I discovered that my children thought an Easter egg was of the plastic variety and that what made it an Easter egg was if it had candy or better yet, money in it. HUMMM, where did I go wrong as a parent? SO, I decided to host the First Annual Easter Egg Dyeing Party. I don't know who had more fun....the children or the parents.

How fun was this!!! My breakfast room is currently empty. So, I thought it would be cool to convert it into an "Egg Room". The kids thought it was SUPER cool. Five dozen eggs later and a colorful vinyl tablecloth and we had a party on our hands. We had egg dye everywhere, including up our noses.

In true "Aunt Kacy" fashion, the marshmallows were flowing and the kids were moving faster and faster. Is there anything better than 1 to 4 year olds on extreme sugar highs?

Nash and his Uncle Jeff share some sort of unspoken bond! Jeff is like the Nash Whisperer.

Shane and Ashley were taking there "ARTISTRY" very seriously.

That's MY baby cousin! Is she gorgeous or what?

Bradley and Maria and the girls got to come, too. Poor Mallory was miserable, but she was SO good. She has horrible allergies and they had spent the night at Maria's aunt's house and she has a cat.
Oh, and guess what? Georgia's walking!!!!

I think if Mallory could have gotten her hands on a stick to scratch her nose she would have! Poor baby, it was making her NUTS!

What's up Baby Brother Bradley? Oh, are you eating again?

Somehow, I missed getting a picture of Maria at the Egg Party, but I got her today at my Grandmothers. Maria, you look awesome!!

Oh my goodness!! I almost forgot. Jeff got me an Easter Gift. I know...pick yourself up out of the floor and just keep reading. Trust me, I about crapped my pants when he told me this morning. I have been BEGGING for a sewing machine. I have had him shopping on eBay for me and comparing prices on ALL kinds. He and I are both weird when it comes to purchases like this. His mom owned a professional alterations shop for years. I've asked for one of her old ones but that still hasn't happened so I've begun the arduous task of researching and making the decision on my own. ANYWAY, Jeff told me this morning he had gotten me one. My whole body went numb with excitement and I was seeing spots. Then he brought it to me.

I mean he went all out and even got me the 4 batteries I needed. Thank you Jeff. HA!

OK, back to Easter...We had more than one place to visit today as we usually do on holidays. First, we went to Mammy and Pops! (Jeff's Grandparents) They managed to get an Easter Egg hunt in before the rain.
Jeff's little sister, Krystle, is getting married in 4 short weeks. She and her soon to be dear hubby, Whitt, just put a contract on their first house yesterday! Somehow, I managed to get out of there today without your picture Krystle and I am so sorry. You looked gorgeous! Here is her man, Whitt. Quite the handsome fellow, I think.
Then, we headed over to my Grandmother's house. Dalton and Savannah hid eggs for Mallory and Georgia in the living room. The rain had started by the time we got there but we made it work. Mallory was feeling better.

Little Miss Georgia was showing me and "telling" me all about that precious belly button of hers.

Sorry for the long post...we've had too much fun this weekend! I am so thankful for a wonderful family and all of these great kids.

We had an "odd" moment yesterday. We put the house on the market about a month and a half ago and that is just a weird situation anyway. We haven't even thought about moving. Jeff and I heard about some land for sale and were interested in it because of the location and honestly we were shocked at the price. Yesterday morning, after breakfast, we decided to just go ahead and take a look at it. We drove down there and as we were walking the land we got a call that our house was going to be shown at noon. It was really ironic. The first time we went to look at something was the first time our house showed. HA.

After all of the fun, I've got mounds of laundry to get to and I'm exhausted. Savannah said she thinks she needs an extra day off to recover from all of the festivities. And just to keep everything real, the cat threw up in my bed! YUCK.
Peace, Kacy
